A big new pickleball facility called The Picklr is preparing to open its doors this spring in Sterling, bringing a brand-new hub for players of all ages and skill levels right here to northern Virginia.

The Picklr is moving into a massive 30,000-square-foot space at the Cascades Marketplace shopping center, the same spot that once housed a Marshall’s department store.
Once open, this brand-new venue will feature 10 indoor pickleball courts, including two championship-sized courts that are perfect for everything from friendly weekend matches to more competitive play.
The facility will also include:
- A full pro shop stocked with paddles, gear, and accessories
- A private event space for lessons, parties, or community gatherings

According to leadership from The Picklr, the Sterling location was chosen with community engagement in mind. “Bringing The Picklr to Sterling is about giving the community a place that truly puts players first,” said owner and operator Zac Baumbach in a recent press release.
