If you’ve been waiting for another reason to stroll around One Loudoun this summer, here it is, the sign has officially gone up for the new Van Leeuwen Ice Cream shop.
The popular gourmet ice cream brand is preparing to open its doors in the newest expansion area at One Loudoun, joining several exciting new retailers and restaurants transforming the area into even more of a destination spot. While an official opening date hasn’t been announced yet, construction is moving along and the newest signage is a strong sign that opening day is getting closer.
If you’re not familiar with Van Leeuwen yet, the brand has developed a loyal following thanks to its rich French-style ice cream and creative flavors. Fan favorites include Sicilian Pistachio, Earl Grey Tea, Dulce de Leche Brownie, and Malted Cookie Dough Shake.
Van Leeuwen is just one of several additions coming to One Loudoun’s growing expansion project. Other incoming and newly opened businesses include Tatté Bakery & Café, bartaco, Alo, Arhaus, Pottery Barn, and Williams Sonoma. The development will also add office space, a hotel, and hundreds of residential units, continuing to shape One Loudoun into one of Loudoun County’s premier lifestyle hubs.
For Ashburn residents, this is another example of how quickly Loudoun continues to evolve with new dining, shopping, and entertainment options. Whether you’re grabbing dessert after dinner, meeting friends for a weekend outing, or just trying to survive another Virginia summer with ice cream in hand, Van Leeuwen is likely about to become a very popular stop.
And honestly? Between Tatté coffee runs and late-night ice cream trips, One Loudoun may soon become even more dangerous for our wallets. But excellent for morale.
